Three Roll Bending Machines

MCO Capacities from 10ga - 10

Flexibility is the main characteristic of the MCO machine which responds to the needs of generic fabricators with limited volumes of plate rolling. The dual pre-bend MCO unit is without doubt the most common on the market, well known by end users as a simple and most economical machine capable of satisfying many different bending requirements especially indicated when rolling is not the companies core business.

In the MCO the pre-bending on the leading and trailing ends is performed without removing the plate from the machine but by simply transferring the same by rotating the rolls from one side to the other to make the pre-bending. One of the MCO's benefits is the possibility to curve symmetrical profiles in between the main side frame thanks to the free passage left between the rolls.

The movements of he machine are entirely hydraulic including the yoke opening and closing that is performed to evacuate the shell after it has been finished. In order to guarantee an excellent plate traction (independent from thickness and material) all three rolls are motorized.

The three hydraulic motors and three planetary gearboxes (one for each roll) are couplet directly on a grooved bar. This allows an economical and efficient mechanical power transmission to the rolls thus ensuring smooth and precise plate positioning. All the MCB rolling machines are equipped with electronic rolls parallelism "Servo Tronic" that substitute completely the obsolete mechanical torsion bars used on old generation units. Automatic speed compensation to ensure correct rotational speed is controlled by the hydraulic system thus avoiding slippage on the rolls.

The MCO model comes in a full range to handle from 10 to 250 mm plate thicknesses.

 
Four Roll Bending Machines

FOUR ROLL HYDRAULIC PLATE ROLLING MACHINE WITH DUAL PRE-BENDING
MCA Capacities from 10ga - 3/16"

The MCA rolling machine line is the ideal apparatus to bend plate up to 10 mm thick and up to four metres wide. It is accurate, user friendly and fast (plate advancement speed of six mt/min) and represents the best available on the market today. The MCA also represents the ultimate in terms of design and innovation with advantages not available on other models. The leading edge is automatically calculated (when CNC is supplied) and this results in the shortest leading edge flat end on the market. The MCA can roll the plate without removing, turning or reintroducing the plate as required by a single leading pre-bending machine used for this range of plate thicknesses. Unlike three roll models that require pre-bending on both ends, the MCA only requires that leading edge is pre-bent.

Another important advantage is the possibility to make a shell in a single pass. The operator needs to identify only the lateral rolls position whereas on the three roll machine it is necessary to identify the six or nine positions to bend successfully a single shell. The MCA concept from its inception has been designed for a complete automization package. Even the basic model is equipped with programmable visual displays with the possibility to memorize the lateral rolls position and (with the exception of the plate advancement which is performed manually) to perform an automatic cycle.

Another interesting characteristic of the MCA is the possibility to introduce material horizontally easily and quickly. The MCA can be equipped together with in-feed tables, loading stations and transfer units. In this case the rolling machine becomes the centre for automatic bending with a high level of productivity resulting in drastic reduction in cycle times.

All the MCA rolling machines are equipped with electronic rolls parallelism "Servo Tronic" that substitute completely the obsolete mechanical torsion bars used on old generation units. The MCA rolls machines all use the ultimate state of the art DAVI technology: PSG, PLT, EST and "Roll by Wire". The MCB rolling machine line is the ideal apparatus to bend plate from 10 mm to 200 mm thicknesses with widths varying from two to up to six metres. It is accurate, user friendly and fast (plate advancement speed of six mt/min) and represents the best available on the market today. The MCB also represents advantages not available on other models. It can automatically pre-bend the leading edge leaving the shortest possible flat end. The MCB can roll the plate without removing, turning or reintroducing the plate as required by a single leading pre-bending machine used for this range of plate thicknesses. Unlike three roll models that require pre-bending on both ends, the MCB only requires that leading edge is pre-bent. Another important advantage is the possibility to make a shell in a single pass. The operator needs to identify only the lateral rolls position whereas on the three roll machine it is necessary to identify the six or nine positions to bend successfully a single shell.
